ConcessionsWA is Western Australia’s first online ‘one-stop-shop’ for over 100 state government concessions, rebates and subsidy schemes.

Launched by the Department of Communities, ConcessionsWA allows you to view concessions provided by more than 30 state government agencies. The easy-to-use search options will enable you to find out details for each concession including eligibility, how to apply and contact details for each agency administering the concession.

Companion Card recognises Hoyts Cinemas as Outstanding Affiliate

The Companion Card Program WA is proud to announce Hoyts Cinemas as the 2012 Affiliate of the Year.  The Hon Helen Morton MLC, Minister for Disability Services presented the award to Hoyts Cinemas at a special presentation at Hoyts Garden City on Wednesday 9 May 2012.

Following the presentation, invited Companion Card holders enjoyed movie snacks and a private screening of the ‘Five Year Engagement’ on the Hoyts Xtremescreen.  A highlight of the event was Her Majesty, The Queen impersonator, who was a big hit with all the invited guests.

Helen Granville Manager of the Companion Card Program in WA said it was important to acknowledge affiliates and their commitment to people with a disability.    

“Hoyts Cinemas have been a strong supporter of the Companion Card program.  Prior to the launch of the program in 2006, Hoyts were part of the development through a broad stakeholder reference group and have always advocated the inclusion of people with disabilities.  Over the years we have received nothing but positive feedback from Companion Card holders about their enjoyable experiences at Hoyts cinemas” she said.

General Manager Operations WA, SA & QLD, Paul Colreavy accepted the award on behalf of Hoyts Cinemas.

“It’s an honour to be nominated by Companion Card holders for this award.  We are proud to be affiliated with the program and it is something we would encourage other local businesses to get involved with,” he said.

Hoyts Cinemas has been an affiliate of the Companion Card Program since 2006.  The program has grown significantly since its inception, with over 600 affiliates and 6118 cardholders in Western Australia.
