How do I use my Companion Card?

In Person

Present your Companion Card when you are booking or purchasing your tickets from a participating venue or activity (affiliate). Staff will issue you with a ticket for your companion at no charge.

There may be some requirements when booking tickets at particular venues so please check the affiliates list on this website for conditions when making a booking.

Over the phone

When booking tickets over the telephone with a participating venue or activity (affiliate), you must tell the operator that you hold a Companion Card and require a companion ticket. You will need to provide your name, your Companion Card number and the expiry date, as displayed on your card.

  • You will be required to show your Companion Card when purchasing or collecting tickets, or at any time during your attendance at the venue or event. If you cannot present your Companion Card, you may be charged for the companion ticket.
  • The companion ticket is not valid unless the cardholder is present. Only the person whose photograph and name appear on the card can use the Companion Card.

Note
You must only use your Companion Card if you are unable to participate at a particular venue or activity without attendant care support. If you have previously attended an activity independently, this arrangement should continue.
